Aethel Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy describes how the Aethel development team handles information when you use Aethel, our mobile strategy game, its account features, and support services. Privacy contact: vasokapanadze.85@gmail.com.
1. Information the game processes
- Account identifiers: player ID, game account and installation identifiers, account creation/activity timestamps, and credentials used to recognise your game installation and signed-in session.
- Email registration: the email address you provide and a password hash. The server stores a hash rather than your email-registration password in plain text.
- Optional Google or Facebook sign-in: when a provider is enabled and you choose it, the game uses that provider's account identifier to link and recover your Aethel account. Provider tokens are processed for verification; the Aethel backend does not persist them as game credentials. The game does not ask for your Google or Facebook password.
- Profile and preferences: display name, avatar, country/flag, profile information, language and other settings you provide, including an age setting if you use that feature.
- Game records: base and world-map position, buildings, resources, armies, heroes, research, alliance membership, tasks, rewards, battle/march records and other progress, including purchase or entitlement records where those features are enabled. World-map coordinates describe the game world, not your physical GPS location.
- Communications: chat messages and in-game mail, their sender/recipient identifiers and timestamps, and information you choose to send to support. Bug reports can include your player name, player ID and your description of the problem.
- Technical and notification information: connection IP addresses, request/error/security records, device platform, app version and language. If push messaging is used, a notification registration token and its association with your game installation/player are processed to deliver notifications.
2. Why this information is used
We use this information to recognise accounts, save and synchronise progress, run the shared game world, enable social features and account recovery, deliver game notifications, investigate errors and support requests, and protect accounts and the game from abuse.
3. Who can receive information
Other players can see public game information such as your player name, ID, avatar, flag, alliance and visible world-map activity. State/alliance chat is visible to the corresponding audience; private messages are delivered to their intended recipients. Avoid putting personal or sensitive information in public game messages.
Services involved in the features you use can process the information needed for those services:
- Google: Google sign-in where enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, and language-model downloads for the Android on-device translation feature. Interface translations are built into the game. Google Privacy Policy; Firebase privacy information.
- Meta: Facebook sign-in where enabled and chosen by you. The current sign-in integration disables automatic Facebook app-event logging and advertising-ID collection. Meta Privacy Policy.
- IP-API: the current client can request a country code using its connection IP address to suggest a profile flag. You can change your displayed flag. IP-API legal information.
- Hosting and email services: game hosting processes account/game records and technical connections. If you send support email, your email provider and our support mailbox process that email.
These providers can process information in countries different from your own, according to their service terms and privacy practices. Their services and your provider accounts are separate from your Aethel account.
4. Storage, security and retention
Account and game records are stored on the game server; preferences, cached game data and installation credentials are also stored on your device. Email passwords are hashed on the server. Social sign-in verification uses HTTPS and server-side verification. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
During testing, account/game records and server backups are not automatically erased simply because you uninstall the game or stop playing. Records are kept to maintain and recover progress and operate the game. You can request deletion using the process below. Technical logs, historical records and backup copies require a separate review when a deletion request is handled; we will explain any information that must be retained and the reason when responding to your request.
5. Your choices and deletion requests
You can change available profile/settings options and control notification permissions in your device settings. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information linked to your account, contact vasokapanadze.85@gmail.com. We may need to verify ownership before changing or deleting account data.
See Aethel data deletion instructions for the request details and the distinction between deleting an Aethel account and removing a Google/Facebook connection. The current deletion request process is handled through support email; it is not an automatic in-game deletion confirmation.
If you believe a child has provided information that should be removed, please contact the same privacy address so we can review it.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this page when the game's information practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For questions or privacy requests, email vasokapanadze.85@gmail.com.
